Olympic swimming star Leisel Jones named Festival Ambassador
A star foodie event needs a star ambassador, and that’s why we have chosen one of Australia’s most celebrated athletes - Leisel Jones OAM.
As a born and bred local, Leisel has always been proud to call Moreton Bay home.
As the Festival Ambassador, Leisel will be appearing at multiple stages and zones throughout the three days, including taking part in the Celebrity Cook-Off Challenge on The Kitchen Stage, where eight celebrities will compete in a series of knock-out, elimination challenges that'll leave you cheering for more!
Leisel will also be broadcasting live from the festival during a live weather cross for the TODAY show.
Many people would remember Leisel when she burst onto the swimming stage as a teenager.
Regarded as one of the world’s greatest-ever female swimmers. Leisel was the youngest Sydney 2000 Olympic Swimming Team member and the youngest-ever Olympic medalist in Australia’s history when she won silver in the 100m Breaststroke and 4x100m Medley Relay.
Throughout her career, Leisel claimed 14 individual world records, 9 Olympic medals, 7 World Championship titles, 10 Commonwealth Games Gold medals, and 23 National titles.
She also created Olympic history when she became the first Australian swimmer to qualify for four consecutive Olympic Games – Sydney (2000), Athens (2004), Beijing (2008) and London (2012).

Eight local celebrities compete for $1000 for their charity
Round 1: Creative Cakes
Celebrities will have 10 minutes to ice and decorate a 9" single-layer cake using a variety of icing and edible decorations. The pressure is on as they race against the clock to create a stunning masterpiece!
Round 2: Charcuterie Board Blitz
In 15 minutes, celebrities must craft the most irresistible, eye-catching charcuterie board using an array of supplied ingredients.
Round 3: Blind Taste Test
The ultimate test of taste! Our final two celebrities will put their palates to the test in a nail-biting blind taste challenge. With each round becoming more difficult and a total of five different foods to try, who will be crowned the winner?
